About me

Francesca Fois

tilde

After having lived and studied around the world since I was a little girl, Caracas, Denver, Ft. Lauderdale, Santo Domingo, and London, I returned to Milan for the Master in International Economy and Management at SDA Bocconi.
After the Master I leave again for a foreign destination Geneva. The UN calls me for a 4-year assignment to the International Trade Centre
as an Associate Expert in Trade Financing.
But it’s not just the big goals that make me who I am now. Every country and every work experience has given me something:
I learned to broaden my horizons, appreciate the differences
and stay away from clichès.

The South American countries taught me to live with a sense of humor and rhythm in my heart, to solve the countless unforeseen events of everyday life;.
The Anglo-Saxon countries taught me the method,
rigour and working towards objectives.

To add a little chili pepper to my routine in 1997 for love
I return to Italy and after the birth of my daughter I work for
almost 15 years for the most prestigious brands of Italian fashion.
Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Versace allowed me to understand why the world loves Italian fashion.

I discovered that one of the meanings of Made in Italy is
the ability to enhance the creative drive.
The reason is simple: we are surrounded by art from the first moment we open our eyes, we grow with the sound of a sweet and musical language, and we eat pasta with parmesan as soon as we get the first tooth out!

So in 2012 I feel the need to invest my resources and energies in my own project diving into fabrics, colors and yarns, a world I always loved.

This passion of mine has become today a job and an activity that allows me to give shape to the idea of elegance,
with a practical and comfortable twist.

In a nutshell, I like beautiful and well done things.

How a project comes to life

Every business project, independent from its size
starts from an inspiration.

Eugenia was mine. Skinny, enterprising and sunny from 3 to 14 years old she wore her school uniform with pride. Not only it simplified her mother’s daily life
but her school membership also gave her a sense of security.

At that time, the School Uniforms only existed in a Unisex version and Eugenia was never completely comfortable in the uniform, when she was finally starting to feel goood
it was already short!

Here comes the idea of creating uniforms with great attention to quality and price
that were produced in collections dedicated to both males and females, from 3 to 18 years of age.

The passion for practical and beautiful materials at an affordable cost ,
and support for families for quick and easy purchase,
have become the mission of the company.

It is with this creative and practical spirit that in 2012
Happy Schoolwear was born.
